Hemp & CBD Industry Consultant
A decade in hemp. Growing, formulating, marketing and answering questions.
About
“ Ten years ago, CBD helped me get off opioids after a bad injury. What it didn't come with was a label I could decipher. I could not tell what was in the jar. That gap is the reason Horn Creek Hemp Farms came to be.
I co-founded Horn Creek along with my family. It became one of the most award-winning CBD companies in the United States. Our core values included transparency and education. In 2026 I moved on from the farm, leaving it in my children's care. Building it taught me every layer of this industry — cultivation, genetics, full-spectrum formulation, cannabinoid science, supply chain integrity, regulatory compliance, physician education. For three of those years, I answered all customer questions, every day. I learned a great deal about what people needed, and the questions they had about CBD.
For many years there was little research to back up what we were experiencing with CBD. Hemp had been federally illegal and university researchers were not able to study it. People who needed CBD for pain, stress, or anxiety were stuck choosing between marketing claims and their own experience. That changed in 2014. Legalization is just now producing peer-reviewed research. Science is beginning to provide a basis for what we already learned anecdotally. In 2026, a German pharmaceutical company's full-spectrum cannabis extract outperformed opioids for chronic pain in a Phase 3 clinical trial. The science has started catching up to what a lot of us already knew from using these compounds. We will see more announcements like this one.
I serve on the Oregon Hemp Commission, the Oregon State University Global Hemp Innovation Center advisory board and OSU School of Agriculture Advisory Board. I've testified on hemp legislation, briefed physicians and patients on how CBD can be effective, and been a resource journalists consult when they need a voice from the industry.
I’m available now to consult, educate, and speak.”

Since June 1, unregistered CBD products have been pulled from Oregon shelves. In November 2026, a federal law takes effect that could reshape — or end — the American hemp market as it exists today. A $28 billion industry is scrambling.
